9/10/12 Privates on Parade in London

Hi Theatre-goers

The inaugural Michael Gangdange Company season at the Noel Coward theatre kicks off in December with the revival of musical comedy Privates on Parade starring man of the moment Simon Russell Beale (who recently received sensational reviews for his role in Timon of Athens at the National Theatre).

The premis of Privates on Parade will be familiar to the over 40s as the tv series “It Ain’t Half Hot Mum” was inspired by Peter Nicholl’s play about an army theatre troupe in South Asia during the Second World War with a cross dressing Captain (Beale) who leads his band of merry men onto the stage to entertain the troops.

The Michael Grandage Company is a London based production company set up by director, Michael Grandage and producer, James Bierman (both formerly of the Donmar) to produce work across all media.

Future productions will include star turns from Sheridan Smith, David Walliams, Daniel Radcliffe, Judi Dench and Jude Law.

Exciting times at the Noel Coward!

Have a great Tuesday everyone
