Scheduled to begin performances at the Aldwych Theatre on 3 June 2026, with a press night later in the month, the show is currently booking through until 10 April 2027.

At its heart, Sinatra The Musical is a biographical jukebox musical that interweaves more than 20 of Sinatra’s timeless hits — such as That’s Life, One for My Baby, Come Fly With Me, The Best Is Yet to Come and I’ve Got the World on a String — into the dramatic arc of his life story.

The show begins on New Year’s Eve, 1942, as a young 27-year-old Italian-American singer prepares to take the stage at New York’s Paramount Theatre — a performance that marks the start of his ascent to stardom. From there, the musical tracks Sinatra’s meteoric rise to fame, his complex personal relationships (including his marriage to Nancy and a highly publicised affair with Ava Gardner), and the public and professional setbacks that challenge him before he stages one of show business’s most remarkable comebacks.

The book is by Joe DiPietro, a two-time Tony Award-winning writer (Memphis and What’s New Pussycat?). The show is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, a three-time Tony Award-winner whose credits include acclaimed revival Anything Goes. The show is designed by Olivier Award-winner Peter McKintosh — all collaborating to bring the glamour and grit of mid-20th-century America to life on the West End stage.

Sinatra The Musical originally premiered at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre in 2023, where it enjoyed a sell-out run before moving into further development. A special reading was also staged in New York in 2024 with acclaimed performances, signalling early interest in the material ahead of its West End transfer.

One of the most instantly-recognisable singers of all time, Frank Sinatra won 11 Grammy awards for his music and an Oscar in 1953 for his role in From Here to Eternity.
