18/10/12 Shakespeare’s Globe 2013

Dear Theatre – goers

Another A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. night watching Jesus Christ Superstar – it’s a show I couldn’t watch a million times more and not get bored. I hope you all got to experience it around the country over the last month.

Shakespeare’s Globe has just announced its 2013 season and as well as the traditional work of the Bard himself there will also be world premieres of The Lightning Child, by Che Walker, Blue Stockings, by  Jessica Swale and Gabriel by Samuel Adamson’s ,  which is a ‘celebration of the transporting power of the trumpet’ featuring Classic BRIT Award winner Alison Balsom – sounds fascinating!

Included in the season will be Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest and Macbeth plus there will be international visiting theatre groups from South Africa (Venus & Adonis), Belarus (King Lear) and India (The Tempest & As You Like It).

Having been for the first time EVER this summer, I am definitely going to make my visit to the Globe an annual one.

Have a great Thursday everyone

Sara
