Welcome to the Adelphi Theatre on London’s Strand. First called The Sans Pareil, the theatre opened on 27th November 1806 before changing its name to the Adelphi in 1819. In 1858 the theatre was replaced by a more up to date building which was called the New Adelphi and then the Century Theatre in 1901. 30 years later it changed its name again to the Royal Adelphi, when it was re-designed by Ernest Schaufelberg to give us the theatre that we have today. 10 Years later it changed its name AGAIN when it reverted to plain and simple Adelphi Theatre!  More information

• Taxis: You should be able to hail a taxi outside the theatre but there is a rank down at Charing Cross Station
