Mean Girls Theatre Breaks
Mean Girls is a musical based on a film of the same name based on a book called Queen Bees and Wannabees! So there will be a lot of fans queing up to see this Broadway teen musical comedy by Saturday Night Live’s Tina Fey. It’s at the Savoy Theatre in London and currently Mean Girls Theatre Breaks are booking through to April 2025.
Mean Girls is a musical comedy about Cady who moves from the wilds of Kenya where she has been home-schooled by her mum, to a high school in Chicago to discover that this new “jungle” is every bit as daunting and the wildlife every bit as vicious as what she is used to.
As the official blurb goes: Meet The Plastics – Regina, Gretchen and Karen. They rule North Shore High and will burn anyone who gets in their way. When Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.
Mean Girls is written by Tina Fey who wrote and appeared on Saturday Night Live for nine years before going on to write 30 Rock. It is composed by Jeff Richmond who worked with Fey on sitcom ,Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) with lyrics by Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde) and director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon).
The Mean Girls cast at the Savoy Theatre comprises Charlie Burn (Cady Heron), Georgina Castle (Regina George), Elèna Gyasi (Gretchen Wieners), Grace Mouat (Karen Smith), Elena Skye (Janis Sarkisian), Tom Xander (Damian Hubbard), Daniel Bravo (Aaron Samuels), Lucca Chadwick-Patel (Kevin Ganatra), Ako Mitchell (Mr Duvall), and Zoë Rainey (Ms Heron, Ms Norbury and Mrs George).
Mean Girls and Hotel Accommodation
The Royal Horseguards and the Clermont Charing Cross are two excellent 5 star hotels within just a couple of minutes walking distance and the Strand Palace Hotel and the Wilde Aparthotel Covent Garden are two four star hotels also nearby. that will offer a high class level of accommodation and service.
If budget is important, the three star Thistle Bloomsbury Park is still less than a mile away and actually I don’t mind a walk through London’s West End at the end of the night, so for me, I get a walk and save my money, so it is a win win!
