Following a sold-out premiere at the Royal Court Theatre, Kimberly Belflower’s extraordinary John Proctor is the Villain is making its highly anticipated transfer to London’s West End and the Wyndham’s Theatre in 2027.

While a class of high school students dissects Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, five young women begin to draw parallels between the historical witch hunts and the real-world power dynamics of their own lives in small town rural America. As long-buried secrets rise to the surface, they decide to stop accepting the perspectives they’ve been handed and courageously seize control of their own narrative.

Set against a high-octane soundtrack of pop music, adrenaline, and fury, John Proctor is the Villain presents a bitingly witty coming-of-age story that completely turns a literary classic on its head.

The production will run for a strictly limited 12-week season from 2 February to 24 April 2027.
