The annual Christmas pantomime at the Hackney Empire, London in 2011 was probably the most famous of them all – Cinderella.
Cinderella the Pantomime ran from 26 November 2011 until the 8 January 2012 with all the ingredients to brighten even the dullest, dampest winter night. Songs, jokes, ugly sisters, a handsome prince, plus pumpkins, mice and all the make-believe that children of all ages could possibly wish for.
If the family came down to London last christmas, what a perfect way to be entertained in the evening!
Cinderella must finish her chores whilst the ugly sisters, and her evil stepmother, go off to the ball to meet the prince. But Cinderella is about to get a lovely surprise. She has a fairy Godmother, and her fairy Godmother is going to make sure she gets to the ball – as long as she promises to get back by midnight!
And along with tickets, Theatre Breaks also include a wide range of hotels to choose from.
You can select the Crowne Plaza Shoreditch, just 10 minutes in a taxi from the theatre itself, or a more central London hotel – maybe near Oxford Street, or Buckingham Palace, or Leicester Square.
The Hackney Empire is in Mare Street, adjacent to Hackney Town Hall, two minutes from Hackney Central Station.
Once there the Empire Cafe and the Old Ship provide a range of great things to eat and drink prior to the show.
So do remember it for next year – for a midweek getaway or a weekend break in London – We hope you have a great break – Oh Yes We Do!
