17/7/12 Theatre breaks around the UK

Hi Theatre-goers

May be the thought of travelling to London during the Olympics is a daunting prospect for some of you – but don’t despair there are many successful (and current) shows touring around the UK over the next 6 months.

Here’s my pick of the best….

1. The fantastic choreographed Dirty Dancing in Dublin;

2. All-time family favourite Oliver! in Newcastle & Dublin;

3. The most classic of all musicals Phantom of the Opera  in Edinburgh & Cardiff;

4. Disney’s spectacular The Lion King in Bristol & Manchester.

And of course there’s alway the beautiful Stratford upon Avon to visit with the added bonus this year (2016 UPDATE) of the 400th anniversary of his death. For me & the kids this has become somewhat of an annual expedition because we love the town so much and there’s always something amazing on at the Courtyard or main Royal Shakespeare Theatre for us to watch. We saw The Tempest a few years ago – wow, what a production!

Have a great Tuesday everyone – hoping you can enjoy the sunshine that we’re having down South!
