5/10/2010 Dreamboats & Petticoats returns to London

Hi Theatre-goers

The popular 1960s-set musical Dreamboats And Petticoats will swing back into the West End later this month to play a limited run at the Wyndham’s theatre from 16 October to coincide with the release of Universal’s sixth Dreamboats And Petticoats album.

Dreamboats And Petticoats tells the story of two young musicians who compete against each other to win not only a national songwriting competition but, more importantly, the attention of the gorgeous Sue.

It’s a show, that since it first opened at the Savoy theatre in 2009, has  entertained more than two million people.

Written by the team behind TV sitcoms Goodnight Sweetheart and Birds Of A Feather, the musical features some of the greatest songs of the rock ‘n’ roll era, including Let’s Dance, To Know Him Is To Love Him, Shaking All Over, Happy Birthday Sweet 16, Let It Be Me and Let’s Twist Again.

After Dreamboats And Petticoats finishes it’s run on 16th Jan 2013, Rowan Atkinson takes up residence at Wyndham’s in Richard Eyre’s revival of the comedy Quartermaine’s Terms. This  production marks Atkinson’s first appearance in a play for almost 25 years.

Have a great Friday and ensuing weekend
