It seems that singer/songwriter Will Young’s performance in the Savoy theatre’s rivival of Cabaret is causing quite a stir in the West End.
Joe Mott of the Daily Star admits ” I never thought I’d be mesmerised watching Will Young perform… But starring in the stage version of Cabaret, he is staggeringly good.”
And Charles Spencer from the Daily Telegraph (who is a very hard critic to please) writes “Will Young has a genuinely disconcerting stage presence with his slicked-down hair, lustful eyes and predatory stillness, and there is a potent mixture of malignity and glee in his performance. “
Other cast members include ex-Eastender Michelle Ryan as Sally Bowles, the ever-gorgeous Matt Rawle as Clifford Bradshaw plus thespian royalty Sian Phillips and Linal Haft as landlady Fraulein Schneider and her Jewish admirer Herr Schultz respectively.
As it’s only on for a limited season, me & you better get our tickets quick as it’s a show that sounds too good to be missed.
Have a great Tuesday
