Festival Organisers apply for 2022 Licences
The Underbelly Festival is set to return to London this Summer, treating the capital to its special brand of top quality entertainment, street food and bars at Earls Court and Cavendish Square in 2022.
With planning applications for both sites submitted this week, the capital can prepare to see some brilliant on-stage talent at the Upside Down Purple Cow – Udderbelly – at Earls Court and the festival’s famous Spiegeltent in Cavendish Square, the heart of the West End.

Earls Court
After last year’s smash-hit London Wonderground festival, the iconic Upside Down Purple Cow, Udderbelly, will return to Earls Court offering comedy-lovers shows from the most LOL-worthy names alongside jaw-dropping circus acts, shows for all the family to enjoy and beautiful outdoor bars and street food.
Cavendish Square
In the heart of the West End and Oxford Street District, Underbelly Festival’s famous Spiegeltent will once again take up residence in Cavendish Square where Londoner and visitors to London can enjoy cabaret, comedy and family shows.
Underbelly Festival’s summer events are running at Earls Court from 5th May – 16th July and at Cavendish Square from 28th April – 31st July.

UNDERBELLY? What the hell is Underbelly!
If you have been under a rock for the past 20 years Underbelly is a UK based live entertainment company that specialises in producing and programming ground-breaking theatrical productions and the creation of city centre cultural events and festivals. I came across them first in 2000 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, but since then the upside down purple cow has become a worldwide mark of quality fringe entertainment.
Here in London, we have enjoyed their Christmas In Leicester Square and Christmas in Trafalgar Square and their Southbank festivals. They are the event production partner for WestEnd Live in Trafalgar Square (on behalf of Westminster City Council and Society London Theatre) and Pride in London, the second largest one day event in London.
On the West End, Underbelly is co-producing the celebrated revival of Cabaret, starring Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley, with Ambassador Theatre Group Productions.
