Critics went crazy for the Old Vic’s new production of Tennessee Williams’ powerful and poetic, Sweet Bird of Youth and visitors to London on Sweet Bird of Youth theatre breaks were treated to a wonderful performance by Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall.

The play runs to 31 August 2013. If you are lucky enough to get tickets you can expect to witness a dramatic and haunting portrayal of an actress’s desire to succeed.
Fleeing the disastrous premiere of her comeback film, the show follows Alexandra Del Lago (Cattrall) as she travels through the dives and hovels of Hollywood in search of something to make her feel good again.
On her journey, she happens upon Chance Wayne, an idealistic dreamer hellbent on achieving his own stardom. Alexandra follows Chance back to his hometown, only to see their relationship unravel and her dreams destroyed.
