Mojo – London Theatre Breaks
An all-star cast of British talent star in the revival of Jez Butterworth’s Mojo which opened at the Harold Pinter theatre ran through to 8th of February 2014.
Men of the moment Ben Whishaw, Rupert Grint, Daniel Mays, Colin Morgan, Tom Rhys Harries and Brendan Coyle bring to life the London underworld in this savagely funny play.
Located in Soho’s sleazy Atlantic Club, in 1958, would-be rock ‘n’ roll star Silver Johnny (Harries) is heading fame-ward, and his manager Ezra, who also owns the Atlantic Club, is protecting his protégé from creepy local gangster/ entrepreneur Sam Ross.
Unfortunately for Ezra and Silver Johnny things don’t end well for them and its up to Ezra’s ‘associates’ to sort out the mess left behind with just an ancient cutlass and an old Derringer for protection against the impending attack from Ross’ henchmen.
