Dirty Rotten Scoundrels London Theatre BreaksThe Savoy Theatre hosts the London premiere of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels based on the smash hit 1988 film of the same name.

A song, a dance, a con!

I am sure you have probably seen the movie staring Steve Martin, Michael Caine and Glenne Headly, well this production is the stage musical version, written especially for UK audiences.

UK stage & TV favourite, Robert Lindsay stars as Lawrence with Alex Gaumond (who recently played Miss Trunchbull in Matilda The Musical)  joining the cast from 11th November as Freddie, a couple of con men who agree to a “loser leaves” challenge when they find themselves working the same town on the French Riviera.

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winning Jerry Mitchell (who directed Legally Blonde and Kinky Boots – a massive Broadway hit) , Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is written by Jeffrey Lane with music and lyrics by David Yazbek who wrote the original stage version of  The Full Monty that came to London a few years ago.

The early money is that it is going to be a hit in the style of Top Hat and Singin’ in the Rain, so if you enjoyed those classics then you should enjoy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
