18/2/2013 One Man, Two Guvnors in London

Hi Theatre-goers

Hope you all had a good weekend and many of you got to be romanced with a Valentine’s theatre break. I ended up at Pizza Express with the kids, but fortunately they both make handsome dates!

Our next theatre trip is this coming Saturday to see the matinee performance of hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.  It’s long been on my “To See” list ever since James Cordon (original cast member) won every award going back in 2010.

Rufus Hound stars as hapless Francis Henshall in One Man, Two Guvnors at the Theatre Royal Haymarket

Having checked with the theatre that it was suitable for my boys age-group (11 & 13yrs) I am assured that they will get ALL the jokes and as the comedy is very slap-stick should have them laughing in the aisles with the rest of the audience.

Loved the story last week about a member of the audience “helping out” Rufus Hound with a heavy suitcase (all part of the show) and having his trousers split. Quick thinking Hound covered the man’s blushes with his jacket. I know we’re sitting in the centre stalls, so I hope I’m not picked or if I am I have no wardrobe mal-functions!

Have any of you seen it yet with Rufus Hound or any previous cast? Let me know what you think. You can post your reviews here

Have a good Monday

Sara

PS : Happy birthday to my lovely sister-in-law Catherine xxxxx
