02/01/2013 – London theatre 2013

Hi Theatre-goers

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. What resolutions have you made for this year? My last year’s resolution was to take my children to more theatre which I certainly succeeded in doing, I’m carrying on in the same vain in 2013 as well.

Tomorrow we will see Billy Elliot at the Victoria Place which the boys suddenly started to ask about at the tail-end of 2012. I haven’t seen it since 2006, so really looking forward to watching the fabulous dance moves and listening to the hilarious script again.

At the end of February, we’re off to see Rufus Hound when he takes over the role made famous by James Corden in One Man, Two Guv’nors at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. We don’t go to that many plays and the boys were desperate to see something without big “song & dance” numbers, so I hope that this slap-stick comedy with fit the bill.

Other highlights in 2013 will be The Book of Mormon (which the boys want to see, but I’m still not sure on whether it’s appropriate for their ages or not), A Chorus Line (probably not one for the boys) and Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (definitely a family outing to see this one!).

What are your theatre plans for 2013? Have you booked anything yet or thinking about certain shows? Tell me what’s on your mind?

Happy New Year everyone!

Sara
