Theatre Breaks and Social Media
Today is Social Media day in the Theatre Breaks Office. So we are starting by writing down all the avenues through which we have a profile – and followers.
In addition to the blog that you are now reading, the main two, of course, are Twitter and Facebook. On Twitter we are @_theatrebreaks_ – otherwise known as Theatre Breaks Angels – do you like the “wings” either side of our profile name? You’ll need them to find us! We have 1500 followers which has grown quite rapidly over the past 4 months so we expect to make 3000 by Christmas. All the new news appears there – this week, it has been mainly closures and openings it’s like a great big spring clean in London at the moment!
Theatre Breaks’ Facebook profile (TheatreBreaksInLondon) is more about special offers and competitions but we do run the news as well.
Of course we have a Youtube Channel: TheatrebreaksTV – some comment, some previews, some trailers – it’s very much a work in progress but we are getting there – you will see yours truly there too!
Myspace is not forgotten at theatre breaks. At Myspace.com/theatrebreaks we have song lists from all the London shows. Sometimes they are show recordings, at othertimes they are original artists or covers, but hopefully it gives you an idea on what a show will sound like!
We also use Pinterest for production shots and other photos from around London – visit Theatre Breaks on Pinterest.
