It is always exciting to witness the birth and growth of a new musical. Bridget Jones’s Diary – the musical has already grown from a rumour to something more substantial – with music (by Lily Allen) and a star (Sheridan Smith) and a start date (“next year“).
There is no theatre yet and consequently no Bridget Jones’s Diary tickets are for sale, or Bridget Jones’s Diary theatre breaks to book, but author Helen Fielding has been heard to be enthusing about the music in public places, and the musical is starting to get name dropped in articles – see Lily’s recent Elle magazine interview – so I think we can expect a bit more news very soon.
So here at Theatre Breaks we will be keeping our ears and eyes open and hopefully bringiong some Bridget Jones’s Diary – the musical news soon.
