Do you remember the first time you saw The Producers?

I do. It was late-ish and I was channel surfing and I suddenly came across a gay 60’s Nazi singing about European domination. I was quite young – early teens and I had seen Blazing Saddles, so as soon as I saw a gurning Brookes I understood the humour we were going to served up… but I had not heard about this earlier film. AND IT WAS MAD!

So this is the successful musical of the smash hit film about putting on a musical  flop that… well that would be spoiling it – that is SO Mel Brookes!

Based on the classic cult film, the original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards, and skewers Broadway traditions, taking no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an “equal opportunity offender!”

Critically acclaimed principals Marc Antolin, Trevor Ashley, Raj Ghatak, Andy Nyman, Harry Morrison and Joanna Woodward all return triumphantly for the West End production.
