National Poetry Day

We put the challenge out there for National Poetry Day and we have had some great theatre-based poems already!

Here are a few of my favourites!

Keith Crooks came up with

A Play in Words

The play`s the thing quoth the lyrical bard,
and in that he was quite right;
For to write a verse is terribly hard,
But when it works it is sheer delight.

Andrea Goodheart gave us this tale of woe and joy

Starstruck

Sunny Afternoon
Ray Davies in gents
Now hubby in heaven
Can’t get no sense!

Rebecca Evans finishes off the trio with

Scene My Seat!?

Song and dance, a little romance
Drama and fun and the parting pun
A thriller, a ghoul, perhaps a killer or fool
I sit, I see at the matinee
Scene from my seat, each time is a treat!

More later!
