Bakersfield Mist

Bakersfield Mist starring Kathleen Turner

This summer will see the return to London’s West End of one of America’s best loved actresses. Kathleen Turner plays an unemployed bartender who buys a painting for $3 and believes it is an original Jackson Pollock worth millions.

When an opinionated New York art critic (played by Ian McDiarmid) arrives to evaluate the painting, a fierce battle erupts over class, truth, value, and the meaning of art.

Bakersfield Mist Theatre Breaks are no longer available to book

Bakersfield Mist is a new play by Stephen Sachs and is inspired by true events.

Bakersfield Mist Theatre Breaks are available from 10 May to 30 August 2014 so if you want to come to London to see these two fine actors then you’d better waste no time in booking a Bakersfield Mist theatre break – especially if you enjoyed watching Kathleen Turner in her outstanding performance in Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in 2006

Bakersfield Mist is at the Duchess Theatre – the closest tube station is Covent Garden. Nearby hotels include the 3 star Strand Palace Hotel and the 4 star Kingsway Hall Hotel. Both are within walking distance of the theatre.
