Top picks for your perfect London theatre break

New research (as if it was needed) showed that 1 in 5 of us in the UK are unhappy at work, with those in the civil services or retail sector coming bottom of the checklist. Last week I saw a bunch of people so obviously having the best fun in their work that I came away whislting. And the tune I was whistling was Singin’ in the Rain, because I had just seen the excellent cast of that show at the Palace Theatre London.  I recommend to anyone that if they need a lift, to book a London theatre break to see Singin’ in the Rain… for that some thing a little bit special.

But London is full of great shows at the moment, so here are my top five shows and where to stay to turn your evening out into a great theatre break.
