19/9/12 New Shows Opening in London

Hi Theatre-goers

There’s lots happening in London in the next few weeks with many new & reprised shows opening around town.

A Chorus of Disapproval opened on 17th September starring Rob Brydon, Nigel Harmon & Ashley Jensen.

Now in preview is Cabaret, starring Will Young & Michelle Ryan, with the official first night on 9th October.

DJ Chris Moyles, Melanie Chisholm & Tim Minchin are joined by ITV talent show winner Ben Forster in the revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice’s rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar which begins its UK tour at the O2 Arena on 21st September.

The New Wimbledon Theatre brings one new & one established musical to its stage this month. First off is 9 to 5 a new musical by Dolly Parton which opens on 22nd Sept and that is followed by the UK touring production of Legally Blonde which begins on 25th Sept.

A poignant play based on the treatment of injured soldiers during the Falklands War, Our Boys, opens at the Duchess theatre also on 22nd September.

This weekend is very busy for openings as the RSC’s Indian themed Much Ado About Nothing at the Noel Coward theatre opens on 22nd Sept.

And finally enter the world of geeks when new musical Looserville opens at the Garrick theatre on 3rd October.

Phew! I’m exhausted just re-reading my blog!
